On a regular basis I see rankings of the “best” burgers . . . the best in the city I’m visiting, the best in the country, the lists go on and on and I bet you’ve read many yourself. I’m lucky enough to have what I consider to be the best burger in the WORLD right in my own backyard. The place is called Moo. It started as a food truck, which is still available for private parties, and is owned by 22 year old Evan, a very cool dude who started his original Moo truck when he was only 18. Pretty impressive. All of the ingredients used in his burgers, fries and shakes are locally sourced, and the interior of this perfectly simplistic restaurant is decorated with beautiful photos of the local ranchers and farmers responsible.
My favorites at Moo are the Moo Burger, which is grass fed beef with lettuce, onion, pickle, sauce and American cheese. It comes on a most delicious fresh and soft bun that your teeth sink into and is bundled adorably in a paper wrapper. I order mine with extra sauce because it’s so good.
Along with my Moo Burger I love to have Moo’s hand cut fries and a black and white shake, which is thick and creamy, made the old fashioned way with real homemade ice cream.
Promise me you will make a trip to Moo. They are located at 137 South Main Street in New Hope, which is the well known town sitting along the Delaware River, popular with locals and tourists alike, just across the bridge from Lambertville, NJ. For any out of towners, it’s a great spot to spend a weekend with lots of B & B’s, art galleries and shopping. But all you really need is Moo.
