In the heart of historic Cape May you will find this adorable farm to table restaurant, another one of my favorite haunts when I’m grounded in Cape May, Louisa’s. It’s a very small, cozy BYOB, serving dinner only, with each night’s specialties listed on a chalkboard menu.
They serve the freshest, local fish, farm fresh salads with ingredients locally sourced from Beach Plum Farm in West Cape May, and homemade desserts. On this visit, my first course was the arugula and beet salad with sweet onions, followed by grilled flounder with dill horseradish sauce, brown rice and cabbage slaw.
Simple, consistent and delicious is how I like to sum up Louisa’s. It has been one of my favorites for years. They are cash only and located at 104 Jackson Street. I recommend making a reservation.
