Hello! My name is Amy and I’ve been a flight attendant for a major airline since 1996. WOW . . . that’s a long time. A whole lotta miles flown and a whole lotta layovers. For almost 20 years, I’ve had the most amazing opportunities to seek out, eat and drink at the best restaurants and bars in the world. I’ve been a foodie for a lot more years though, really for as long as I can remember. From my humble beginnings as a child, according to my older sister, putting ketchup on everything, through my teen years, where my fondest memories have to do with eating out. Momentous family celebrations – birthdays, anniversaries, vacations – and what I remember most about them all is where we dined and what I ate.
Fast forward to present day. When I’m not flying I am lucky enough to split my off time, which I affectionately refer to as being “grounded,” between Doylestown, PA (a suburb of Philadelphia) and Cape May, NJ (the southernmost tip of the Jersey Shore), two culinary capitals of the universe! You’ll see what I mean in the GROUNDED section of this site. My taste has definitely been refined from my ketchup covered beginnings, and has expanded to include great wine, craft beer and handcrafted cocktails, too. Which brings me to why I’ve launched this site. I have a wealth of valuable info to share with you. Trust me, I like to find the really GOOD places. So, come on, let’s go. Sit back, relax and we’ll enjoy the rest of this delicious trip together!
